BETHLEHEM, PA, April 23, 2019: Today, Moravian College announced that Dave Zinczenko, Class of 1991, will serve as the keynote speaker at the 2019 commencement ceremony celebrating the conclusion of the college’s 277th academic year. The 2019 commencement ceremony is being held on Saturday, May 11 at 10:00 a.m. at John Makuvek Field on the Main Street Campus of Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pa.
Dave Zinczenko is a Bethlehem native and founder and CEO of and internationally recognized as the leading voice in health, fitness, nutrition and weight loss. In addition, Dave is the #1 New York Times best-selling author of 25 books in 15 languages, with more than 10 million books in print. In 2016, Dave was on hand to dedicate The Zinczenko Center for New Media on the Moravian College campus, which provides students and faculty with access to state-of-art video production equipment and facilities.
“Dave has been an avid supporter of Moravian for a long time in many ways; including providing leadership and mentoring to students by offering internship opportunities with the Galvanized office here on campus,” commented Bryon Grigsby, president of Moravian College. “We’re very pleased that he’s accepted this invitation to come back and share his experience, knowledge, and insight with the graduating class of 2019.”
Approximately 450 undergraduate, 65 graduate, and 13 seminary students will receive their degrees at this year’s ceremony.
In the event of severe weather, commencement exercises will be split into two (2) ceremonies and both will be held in Johnston Hall, also on the Main Street campus.
