ELEVATE: Global Greyhound Travel Funds

After two semesters at Moravian,* you’ll be eligible to apply $2,600 toward the cost of one 91¿´Æ¬ Global Greyhound Short-Term Travel Program! With these funds, many MU-led travel programs will be at little or no extra cost to you! You can choose to travel during winter break, spring break, May term, or summer. Travel programs range in length from seven to 10 days and are led by Moravian faculty and staff, including several by faculty who teach in the Environmental Studies and Sciences Program.

Student Opportunities for Academic Research (SOAR)

The goal of the SOAR program is to facilitate student research in collaboration with a faculty mentor. To this end, the program provides stipends, travel allowances, and research expenses to support students and their faculty mentors as they engage in scholarly or creative work. Many Environmental Science majors take advantage of this opportunity or a faculty grant-funded project to work as a full-time researcher over the summer. Contact individual faculty members if you are interested!

Honors Program

The Honors Program at 91¿´Æ¬ offers seniors of proven ability the opportunity to pursue a year-long study of special interest under the personal guidance of a faculty member who serves as the Honors Project Advisor. While Honors students usually choose a topic in their major, they may select another academic area or even a combination of areas. Honors study is invaluable preparation for graduate school and the professional world.

Environmental Coalition (ECO)

The Environmental Coalition recognizes that "sustainability" is multifaceted-- it means living in a way that protects and enriches the environment and your community and also contributes to a stable economy. ECO seeks to make students aware of the most pressing sustainability issues and through programming empower them to make change. (Advisor: Dr. Josh Lord)
