The Helen S. Breidegam School of Nursing and Public Health

Healthcare initiatives improve the lives of people worldwide every day. Today’s healthcare professionals must utilize a multidisciplinary approach in promoting and preserving a healthy quality of life for all populations—individuals, families, communities, and nations worldwide. The Helen S. Breidegam School of Nursing and Public Health will prepare you for continuous learning, advanced study, and leadership in healthcare.

Our nursing programs include a traditional four-year pre-licensure baccalaureate (BSN) program, a 16-month long pre-licensure accelerated BSN program for college graduates, a baccalaureate degree completion program for registered nurses (RN to BSN), and a master’s (MSN) program that prepares clinical nurse leaders, nurse administrators, nurse educators, and nurse practitioners. 91¿´Æ¬ will begin a a post-MSN Doctor of Nursing Practice, beginning Fall 2024.

Additionally, our public health major is an interdisciplinary curriculum preparing the student for diverse careers and graduate studies in public health.

Students in both programs receive an education that blends compassionate art with scientific inquiry to achieve a transformative education deeply rooted in a rich liberal arts tradition.
